It had been ten years since the Western Circuit Lodge No 3154 last had a live degree ceremony when, on Thursday 7th December 2006, the Lodge of Assistance descended en masse and asked the current Master of the Western Circuit Lodge, RWBro Lord Justice Chadwick, to Pass one of our members to the Second Degree.
The ceremony was a delight, performed almost entirely by members of Western Circuit (they borrowed a Junior Deacon from us), and afterwards we continued the happy fellowship together in the Oxford and Cambridge Club. It was a superb dinner, served on a table groaning under the weight of the Lodge’s impressive collection of silverware.
All parties expressed the hope that a lasting bond may be forged between the two lodges. Indeed, a number of reciprocal visits have already taken place between members of the two lodges.
